Newton Levi scrapbook, 1909-1913.

This collection consists of a scrapbook created by Newton Reginald Levi to document his time as a Penn State student. It includes programs for events such as productions for the Thespians, the Glee Club, and the Flower Show. There are also programs, song books, and tickets to a variety of sporting events, including, basketball, football, tennis, and wrestling. Along with tickets to these events are photographs of the teams, and in the case of football, victory bonfires. In addition to these items, there are photographs of student activities, such as the class scraps (Push-ball, Flag, and Cider scraps, for example), dance cards, and uniformed troops practicing marching. Levi also includes photographs of buildings around the Penn State campus, such as Old Main, the Armory, Schwab Auditorium, the Library, Mining Building, and the Engineering Building.

Newton Reginald Levi, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduated from the Pennsylvania State College in 1913 with a degree in horticulture. He was a member of Alpha Gamma Rho and the vice president of the Crab Apple Club as well as being involved in the Philadelphia Club, Penn State Farmer Board, Civic Club, and Deutscher Verein.
